A LARGE herd of cows were discovered to be wandering through the village of Rhostyllen on Bank Holiday Monday - and they caused quite a stir.
Residents were amused as cattle raced through Rhostyllen, Wrexham, appearing to be unsupervised and causing mischief.
However, while some people were genuinely concerned for their safety and welfare, others were not impressed with the damage they managed to cause on their little outing.
Mike Hanmer, local resident, captured a video of the mess they made down the public footpath through the village and said it was still there Tuesday morning before he went to work.
Another local resident, Adele Keefe, said: "My husband was busy decorating our extension when he heard the cows. When he looked up through the window, he saw a cow watching him.

"He went out to find loads of them in our front garden and in neighbouring houses too. They'd knocked over flower baskets in a neighbours house and there is still lots of muck in gardens and the road."
Luckily, the cows were not startled and did not cause any injuries.
While it is not yet confirmed how they escaped in the first place, the cattle were soon rounded up and returned back home safely.
