THE team at a North Wales animal rescue centre is looking for new homes for their residents.
North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR) have cats, dogs and some smaller animals, as well as ponies and horses, all hoping to find their forever home.
The staff and volunteers at the Trelogan-based charity, in Flintshire, know the animals as individuals, and therefore know what kind of home they are more likely to thrive in.
Whether it's a dog, cat, rabbit or horse, staff are on hand to advise on the character and suitability of each.

They also make sure potential new owners are aware of the ongoing costs of a pet, including food and vet bills, which can often be for unexpected treatment.
But thankfully there are plenty of responsible, loving people and families looking to give an animal a loving new home.
And there are always animals of all types, ages and needs that will be the perfect match.
Here we meet just some of those at NCAR looking for a new home...
• For more details, please visit ncar.org.uk or if you would like to support the charity without adopting, you can visit their cafe, open from 10.30am to 3.30pm. They also accept donations at the centre between 10am and 4pm.
You can also help by fundraising, sponsoring a kennel or supporting one of the NCAR charity shops in the region.
• Rusty is a lovely girl who has come into our care due to her owners ill health, she is very friendly and chilled out. She is looking for fairly quiet home as this has what she has been used to recently, but will be fine around visiting children. She has also lived with dogs in the past so has potential to live with calm cat friendly dogs as long as sensible introductions can be done. Rusty has previously had access to the outdoors, so is looking for a home in a quiet area so she can explore safely if she wants to. She does require regular brushing (which she enjoys) as she doesn’t groom herself for some reason, she has come to us with a few matts which we will sort out before she goes to a new home. A really lovely cat who will make a great companion.
• Pokey is on the lookout for a loving home where the 21-year-old can simply enjoy life in a pleasant environment. He has arthritis and sadly can’t be ridden but would be the ultimate companion horse, as he is incredibly affectionate and loving. He is a happy-go-lucky horse who will bring so much happiness to your life. If you’re looking for a cheerful and caring horse to be by your side, Pokey is the perfect match for you. He’ll fill your days with warmth and bring endless joy to your heart.
• Huggie/Ollie is a lovely lad who originally came to the rescue as a stray four years ago. He found a lovely home but unfortunately has recently returned as he was feeling threatened by a local male cat outside and was finding it very stressful. He has settled back in at the rescue very well but is looking for a quiet adult home only. He would prefer a rural home or backing on to fields on the edge of a village ideally in an area with not too many cats around. He needs to be the only pet in the house so he can have loads of affection, strokes and choose which lap to sit on.
• Snowflake and Yoda are a very sweet pair of little rabbits who came to us due to their owners health, they were very loved but sadly she was unable to take care of them as her health got worse. This beautiful eight-year-old duo are quite senior and are looking for an adult only retirement home. They would need to live indoors where they can be kept cosy, they are very sociable and do enjoy little cuddles. They do like to run, jump and play and enjoy their food.
• Mable is a sweet girl who came into our care due to an allergy in the home, she has lived with four children in her previous home so can be rehomed with sensible children aged five years+. She is a friendly girl who likes attention, and as she is only young still she loves playing with toys too. She is looking for a home with a safe outdoor area for her to explore once she has settled in. Mable is only nine-months-old.
• Mario and Luigi are two lovely lads who have come into our care for rehoming. They were quite timid when they first arrived but are growing in confidence now but will need owners who have time to continue their socialisation. They can be rehomed with sensible children five years+, other compatible cats and even a dog if slow and sensible introductions can be done. These brothers can be rehomed together or separately.
