A SNOOKER club is walking 17 miles across hills to raise money for a Wrexham boy undergoing treatment for a tumour.

The Sun Inn Rhos Snooker & Sports Club has organised the sponsored walk from Moel Famau to the Sun Inn Rhos to help raise funds for Morgan Jones and his family.

The 12-year-old, who attends Ysgol Y Grango School, broke his femur while on a trampoline, and during checks, doctors found a tumour in his leg

The Wrexham AFC-mad 12-year-old is now currently going through treatment, which is set to be followed by extensive surgery on his leg. 

The 17-mile walk will take place this Sunday, August 20 leaving the Sun Inn at 9am, a bus kindly put on by E Jones and Sons will take people to the starting location.

One of the organisers of the fundraiser, Daisy White, said: "The next 12 months will be traumatising for the family as they experience this difficult time. 

"Due to the intense treatment and medical procedures, I’m sure you will be aware that their closest loved ones cannot leave Morgan’s bedside. So, as a community, we are asking you to kindly donate what you can."

Among those taking part in the walk is Paul Edwards - who will be once more be putting on the Deadpool costume for a fundraising walk. 

He's known for walking the length of Britain and attempting to walk across America to raise funds for Hope House Hospice.
