A NUMBER of thefts took place in Wrexham over the course of a day, a police Inspector has said.
In his daily update to the public, covering 7am on Monday to the following day, Wrexham Inspector Luke Hughes confirmed that just after midday, his team received a report about an outbuilding targeted at Wrexham Glyndwr University.
He said the incident itself is believed to have happened over the weekend on the university campus, with tools stolen.

Insp Hughes said this was the "second offence in a week," making the site "a location to monitor."
Just after 2pm, police were alerted to stock being taken from a builders merchants in Rhostyllen.
The Inspector said: "Officers have attended and enquiries ongoing – I'm not linking to the university offence at this time, but will be keeping an open mind."
Later that day, a pushbike was stolen from from a property on Crescent Road and a further "low value" theft was reported at the bus station.
Other than the above thefts, officers were also alerted to a damaged window in Y Wern, attempted shoplifting at a sports store in Henblas Street and 'three females causing issues' at a supermarket in Plas Coch.
