Last year the society praised the quality of entries in the show, especially with the dry spells of 2022 that had made the conditions difficult for the growers. They had also had more entries than in the previous year, and had said that they had recovered well from the pandemic.
The society dates back to the mid-1800s originally but has run in its current show since the end of the War. In that time they have only missed one flower show, during the pandemic in 2020, with the following year going ahead under restrictions.
The BRHS also offers memberships and holds events throughout the ear.
