A NUMBER of Wrexham fans could miss the club's first away game back in the EFL following a crash on the M1.

The road has been closed between J12 and J11A following a road traffic collision, which left a vehicle overturned, Traffic England said.

Motorists have been delayed almost an hour and a half, with the traffic not expected to clear until close to 3pm.

The road closure, near Luton, means that Reds fans on the way to Plough Lane to watch the Wimbledon game, could miss a large majority of the first away day.

The Reds sold out their allocation, with fans now hoping to make some of the game in London.

Fans have posted a number of pictures and videos of the standstill traffic on the motorway, with more delays likely.
