A NORTH Wales MS is urging residents to consider becoming part of the region's police force.
Sam Rowlands MS is calling on his constituents to consider becoming a police officer with North Wales Police.
The force is currently accepting applications and anyone interested should apply before the closing date on August 22.
Mr Rowlands said: "As a keen and long-time supporter of the police and the valuable work they carry out I am happy to support North Wales Police’s recruitment drive and encourage my constituents to consider this job."

Mr Rowlands added: "As a police officer you will be given the opportunity to have a really good career, working in one of the safest places to live, work and visit in the UK, with the chance to specialise in many different roles and facing varied challenges every day.
“If you are interested in learning more about the role then why not go along to the Recruitment Open Day being held on Monday August 14 from 10am - 3pm at Colwyn Bay Headquarters.”
Police Constables are the face and voice of North Wales Police. They are on the ground, working in partnership with the public and organisations in making a difference to the local community, coming from different walks of life, but united by the same goal – to keep communities safe.
As a police officer you will have a key role in supporting victims and witnesses and providing reassurance to individuals who’ve been subjected to crime and anti-social behaviour Policing is one of the most varied jobs there is.
From responding to a 999 call you may be saving a life, conducting traffic stops, preventing domestic abuse, identifying modern slavery, supporting victims, finding vulnerable people, or being the first on the scene in a disaster such as an accident, deceased, public disorders or terrorist attacks. Whatever your day brings, you’ll be in a unique position in making North Wales the safest place in the UK.
The window for applications is currently open until August 22 with an online assessment centre starting September 26.
