AN APPEAL has been launched for donations to support a mum and her young daughter whose property was left badly damaged by a fire at a neighbouring house.
The incident occurred at a row of terraced houses on the High Street in Connah's Quay last night.
Whilst the property where the blaze started suffered "100 per cent" damage, neighbouring properties are also said to be badly affected.
Rhianne Howarth and her two-year-old daughter live next door to where the fire started.
The 23-year-old's house was badly damaged by smoke - with "everything" in the property affected. Rhianne and her daughter had to be evacuated by firefighters.
Rhianne's auntie, Terrie-Anne Coakley, said: "Everything inside is ruined - thick in black smoke stains. She had just finished her daughter's room ready for her third birthday.
"If anyone has anything including girl's clothes aged 2-3/3-4 or women’s clothes size medium/10/12 - that would be so appreciated.
"We are so grateful for the kind messages and donations already being offered."

The Boathouse bar in Connah's Quay is collecting donations.
A joint investigation between the fire service and the police is underway to establish a cause into the blaze.
Crews were called to the property a second time at 3.30am as a result of reignition of timbers within the roof space of the property. Two appliances and an aerial ladder platform attended. The building is now being made secure, NWFRS said.
Police blocked off a section of the High Street the Festival Gardens due to the incident. The road is back open this morning.
Connah's Quay councillor Bernie Attridge last night took to Facebook to describe it as a "serious house fire".
