CREWS remain at the scene of a "serious" house fire in Flintshire this morning.
Firefighters were called to the incident at a property on the High Street in Connah's Quay at 9.35pm on Wednesday.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS) spokesperson said one appliance from Deeside and two from Flint attended the incident - which remains ongoing this morning (Thursday).
The property is said to have suffered "100 per cent fire damage".
The spokesperson added that it is thought that no one was inside the house when the incident occurred. Fire investigators are now working with North Wales Police to establish the cause of the blaze.
Crews were called to the property a second time at 3.30am as a result of reignition of timbers within the roof space of the property. Two appliances and an aerial ladder platform attended. The building is now being made secure, NWFRS said.
Police blocked off a section of the High Street the Festival Gardens due to the incident. The road is back open this morning.
Connah's Quay councillor Bernie Attridge last night took to Facebook to describe it as a "serious house fire".
