THE SUN is finally shining in north Wales after a spell of miserable weather.
The Met Office is forecasting sunny weather throughout Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures set to a high of 27 degrees celsius in Flintshire and Wrexham.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "It will be a generally cloudy day in the west on Wednesday, August 9, with some hill and coastal fog and occasional drizzle. Further east there will be some sunshine, especially during the morning. Maximum temperature 22C.
"Tonight - Remaining cloudy in the west, with outbreaks of patchy rain and drizzle at times. Clearer spells further east, and feeling muggy with a milder night than recently. Minimum temperature 14C.
"On Thursday (August 10), grey and damp conditions will clear to leave a dry day with light winds and very warm sunshine. Turning cloudier with a risk of showers from the west later."
There will be a return to more unsettled conditions on Friday and over the weekend with sunshine and showers. These are expected to turn heavy and thundery at times. A cooler breeze is also predicted.
