WREXHAM AFC bounced back from an opening day defeat in style to advance in the Carabao (EFL) Cup on Tuesday evening (August 8).
MK Dons shocked the Reds when they beat them 5-3 at the STok Racecourse in their League Two season opener just three days earlier.
That was Wrexham's first English Football League match in 15 years.
But, undeterred, Phil Parkinson's side went on to defeat League One side Wigan Athletic 4-2 on penalties in the cup.
That was following a 0-0 draw in what was the first round of the Carabao Cup.
