A WOMAN has opened a "unique" bespoke dispensing optician in Wrexham city centre.
Kerry Fisher, from Bwlchgwyn, recently opened Eyecadia - based in the Overton Arcade.
The 37-year-old said it's not your everyday opitician - and offers bespoke frames which are hand-crafted in Europe and the USA.
Kerry explained: "Eyecadia is a haven for bespoke and premium eyewear from Europe and USA. I wanted to give the people of Wrexham and north Wales the choice of designing their own eyewear or opting for one of pieces I have curated along with my suppliers.
"Feb31st is made from recycled wood and made to order, which means zero waste, an important message for today's consumer.
"Face a Face is handmade in Paris. The range is bright, bold and sparkly. And Moscot – which is coming soon - is a timeless range from New York and features traditional styles with their unique, statement style."
Kerry has opted for the business to do dispensing only, which means customers will need to bring in their prescription from their existing optician.

"Starting my own business always felt like a pipe dream, I still have to pinch myself most days that this is happening," she said.
"After working for lens manufacturers and as a dispensing optician for 17 years, I decided now was the time to bring something different to our city.
"This journey all started from having a drink in The Drunk Monk, which is next door to my shop. I noticed a to let sign on the door and made some enquires, after some soul searching, I decided now was the time to create my dream."
She added: "With the sale of our football club to Rob and Ryan, it really has put Wrexham on the map, tourism has increased, which can only mean good things for local businesses."
Kerry said the inside of the shop doesn't look like a typical optician.
"I have created a 1920’s/retro theme within the shop, sourcing furniture from local antique shops and learning how to up-cycle.
"This is something unique to north Wales. People come to me with how they want their frame created. For example, we offer Wrexham AFC-themed frames."
And Kerry is keen for Ryan Reynolds to visit the shop to try on a Wrexham AFC frame.
She added: "It'd be amazing if Ryan popped in to try them on. If he ever needs a new pair - please come to us!
"I’m really excited to share my passion with the people of Wrexham and be a positive contribution to my local community."
