A HAWARDEN pub has closed due to the departure of its landlord.
The Fox & Grapes, in Hawarden, reopened under new ownership last summer. It came with some controversy, with the new landlord opting to not allow dogs in the pub.
He later partially reversed this policy, allowing people with dogs to sit in the pub's beer garden.
The pub also recently slashed its prices due to the rising cost of living.
However, just a year after taking over, landlord Jason Mighty has left the pub.
A spokesperson for Punch Pubs & Co, which owns the pub, said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances the Fox & Grapes pub in Hawarden is temporarily closed.
"We are working hard to recruit a new publican and look forward to opening up to the community again very soon.”
