A PERSON has been taken to hospital by air ambulance following a collision involving a bus and a BMW.
According to Inrix the A5119 Main Road remains blocked in both directions due to the incident from the Mold turn off to the Cross Keys Pub.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed one crew attended the scene following a call at 7.17am.
A spokesman told the Leader the incident involved a bus and a BMW vehicle, with four casualties in total.
Firefighters assisted in tranferring one of the casualties, who was in the BMW vehicle, to an air ambulance.
The fire crew has since left the scene.
Two people have been transferred to hospital following the collision.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (Wednesday 2nd August) at 07:17am to a road traffic collision involving a car and a bus in Sychdyn, Mold.
“We sent two emergency ambulances, one Cymru high acuity response unit and one duty operational manager to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance service.
“One patient was taken to the Countess of Chester hospital by road, and a second patient was taken to Aintree hospital via Air”.
