A MAN who locked his ex-partner in her flat and refused to let her out has been jailed.
Andrzej Sidoruk, of Regent Street, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Tuesday morning for sentence.
The 50-year-old had previously admitted offences of false imprisonment and making threats with an offensive weapon.
Emmalyne Downing, prosecuting, told the court that the victim - Beata Szymborewicz - was in a five year relationship with the defendant, which ended two years prior to the offences.
They still lived together due to financial reasons.
Ms Downing said the offences before the court on Tuesday weren't the first he'd committed against Ms Szymborewicz.

He was sentenced on May 24 for assaulting her.
The court heard Ms Szymborewicz tried to get some privacy from the defendant by putting a lock on her bedroom door, but he walked in and out when he wanted and had twice broken the lock previously.
On June 17, he wanted to enter her bedroom - leading her to lock herself in the bathroom due to fear.
Sidoruk kicked the door and tried to force his way in.
When she eventually left the bathroom, the defendant ran out of the flat and locked the door from the outside, leaving the key in and preventing her from unlocking it from the inside.
The victim wanted to go to work, but couldn't get out and when she asked Sidoruk to open the door he refused.
He only relented when her friend arrived to take her to work.
On June 20, Sidoruk was drunk at the flat and walked in and out of the victim's bedroom a number of times before laying on her bed.
He was shouting and calling her names, so she packed some things and left, fearing another argument.
Then, on June 22 she went back to pack some belongings.

Sidoruk asked her to do it later, but she told him she couldn't.
The defendant took a knife from a drawer as the victim made tea, and extended his arm in front of him, telling her to "p*** off."
Ms Szymborewicz was afraid he would lunge at her, so she left.
In a victim persoal statement, she said her ex-partner's actions had deprived her of privacy and a safe place to live - and that she feared for her life and health around him.
Richard Edwards, defending, said: "The defendant wishes to apologise through me to the court and to the victim in this case - his guilty pleas demonstrate his genuine remorse.
"Alcohol has clearly been the issue behind the offending.
"He has spent time as an inpatient at a detox unit in Poland and has recognised this assisted him.
"He needs to do all he can to steer clear of alcohol.
"The breakdown of his relationship and turning to alcohol are what caused these offences."
Mr Edwards added that the false imprisonment was "not lengthy" and had not included any physical violence or weapons.
"He realised the stupidity of what he'd done and opened the door," he added.
Judge Niclas Parry told the defendant: "The time has come to give Ms Szymborewicz a rest and some protection.
"These offences are indicative of your conduct towards this lady generally.
"You have no regard for her welfare or dignity."
In total, the Judge jailed Sidoruk for 18 months.
A five year restraining order was imposed to prevent him from entering the road where the victim lives.
