WREXHAM'S star striker Paul Mullin has provided an update to fans following the nasty injury he sustained during the latest pre-season match.

The Reds made it two wins out of three on their US Tour with a 3-1 win over a youthful Manchester United side.

Goals from Elliot Lee, Aaron Hayden and Sam Dalby handed Phil Parkinson's side the win.

But, the real talking point was the news that Mullin had sustained a punctured lung following a collision with United keeper Nathan Bishop.

That left the forward writhing in agony on the floor and needing an oxygen mask, before being replace by Billy Waters just 15 minutes or so into the match.

Mullin, 28, has since taken to social media to keep fans updated with how he's doing after the incident.

He took to Instagram to post from his hospital bed.

Mullin wrote: "Thank you for all your messages! All good here!"

It remains to be seen just how long the forward will be sidelined for with the injury.

Wrexham AFC also Tweeted their support for the striker.

Posting alongside a pic of his selfie, they said: "An update from SPM, we’re all behind you Mulls!"
