THE theft of a car without the keys being taken in Flintshire has prompted a police warning.
Police are warning that organised criminal gangs have technology which can remotely start vehicles.
North Flintshire PCSO Thomas Maddocks said: "We have had a theft in Flintshire of a high power brand new car without the offender ever taking the keys.
"Organised criminal gangs have technology which can remotely start stop start vehicles which don't require keys. They then use jamming equipment to make sure the car can't be tracked.
"If you own a car of the same kind either obtain an RFID box to place the key or ensure you keep the key well away from the car to ensure this cannot happen to you."
