WREXHAM striker Ollie Palmer has revealed more on what it's like to have a documentary team around and given his take on the Reds' chances of promotion next season.

The 31-year-old has become a hit at the Racecourse since transferring over from AFC Wimbledon in January 2022.

He has netted 32 goals since then for the club and become a vital part of Phil Parkinson's side who have now returned to the English Football League following a 15-year absence.

A 3-1 win over Boreham Wood in April saw Wrexham win the National League title.

Palmer believes that could well be followed up with more success come the end of the 2023/24 season.

The striker recently sat down with team-mate Ben Foster and Tom Ochoa on 'Fozcast' to discuss a number of Wrexham-related matters.

One of the topics explored was the Welcome to Wrexham documentary - the second season of which is set to return in September.

The hugely-successful series, which first aired on Disney Plus last year, shines a spotlight on the community in Wrexham, as well as the daily goings on at Wrexham AFC.

Talking about what it's like to have a documentary team follow the team around, Palmer said: "It's mad, but again I go back to the character in that dressing room, it's not distracted anyone.

"The documentary guys are a part of the furniture, they're just there all the time, they're really lovely people and they try to stay out the way, it's great.

"A lot of the lads embrace it. It makes it a really fun place to be. That's why everyone ultimately wants to come here.

"Why does every league one and championship player that I know now want to come here? Is it really because we've just got promoted into League Two? No F*****g chance right?' It's because of everything."

Speaking on Wrexham's chances next season, a confident Ollie added: "I want to win the league again, back-to-back champions. That's what I want.

"Promotion is definitely happening. We're definitely getting promoted next season, I fully believe that. But, to do it as champions would be so special."
