WREXHAM AFC co-chairman Rob McElhenney says he hopes to see Chelsea again 'in around five years or so' after the clubs faced off in the USA.
Phil Parkinson's Reds fell to a 5-0 defeat to the Premier League side in their first pre-season match.
That was in front of a crowd of nearly 51,000 people at the Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
That was yet another incredible chapter in Wrexham's journey since Rob and fellow actor Ryan Reynolds took over in February 2021.
The pair have previously made no secret of the fact that they want to someday take the club to the dizzy heights of the Premier League.

And that project is now officially underway, with Wrexham having won the National League title last season to return to the English Football League for the first time in 15 years.
And, despite a heavy defeat to the Blues, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia star Rob is looking forward to the next match against them.
He took to Twitter post-match to say he hopes to see them in five years or so - that would be around the least amount of time it would take Wrexham to get to the Premier League.
Rob said: "Thank you @ChelseaFC !!!! Hopefully we'll see you again in 5 years or so :)"

Wrexham's tour of the USA will also see them face Manchester United, Philadelphia Union and LA Galaxy.
Following a match against Bethelem Steel FC in the UK, the Reds will then return to North Wales to kick off their League Two campaign at home to MK Dons on August 5.
