POLICE have raised concerns over a 'rise' in anti-social behaviour (ASB) in a Deeside town.

North Wales Police say they have received reports of criminal damage and youths using off-road bikes in Shotton.

They say the incidents have been taking place in the Westminster Crescent area of the town.

One youth was said to have kicked someone's gate on Monday, July 17, causing criminal damage in the process.

Officers are now urging anybody with information to contact them and to 'remain vigilant'.

Posting on the NWP Community Alerts page, NWP North Flintshire PCSO Thomas Maddocks said: "There has been a rise in ASB in Shotton, most notably on Westminster Crescent.

"Tonight (July 17), a youth has kicked someone's gate which has resulted in criminal damage. If you know any youths may be involved then contact North Wales Police, you can do this anonymously via Crimestoppers, 0800 555 111.

"We have been receiving reports of youths using off road bikes on Westminster Crescent. Please remain vigilant about this and if you know anything which you believe is of use to North Wales Police, please alert North Wales Police.
