A TRIO took on an "unbelievably gruelling challenge" in memory of a Wrexham man after his tragic sudden death.
Liam Stokes-Massey, Benajmin Williams and Steffan Jones climbed all of Eryri's (Snowdonia) 15 peaks within 24 hours in memory of their friend, Sam Dodd.
Sam, from Rhos, tragically died aged just 34 in 2020 of an epileptic seizure.
Benjamin paid a touching tribute to Sam - who was the father of a young child: "A character in every sense of the word, there was never a dull moment with Sam-the-man around.
"Loved dearly by his young son, family and many friends alike, he’s left a big hole behind but is remembered fondly for his work in education, amateur rugby career, artistic streak, unrewarded faith in Manchester United, passion for ‘yr iaith cymraeg’ and the care and compassion he showed to others.
"We remembered him with every step of the walk, but especially when we were enjoying a rewarding pint at the end."

Last week's challenge was in aid of Eplisepsy Cymru - with the trio raising over £2,400 for the charity.

Liam said: "We managed to get over the finish line at around 10pm last night, with the light fading. We then had another hour and half to the car. We'd started to climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) on Thursday at 4.20am so it was a very long day indeed.
"It was an unbelievably gruelling challenge, but we're so happy and proud to have completed it. We'd like to thank everyone who's donated."
