THE Welcome to Wrexham docuseries has received six Emmy Nominations.

The series follows the takeover of Wrexham AFC by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, now co-chairman, in February 2021.

Welcome to Wrexham aired on Disney Plus (in the UK) last year and brought worldwide attention to the club.

It said: “The story of Wrexham has resonated with millions of people because you don’t have to be Welsh or a football fan to be moved by this town. We are so grateful for today’s 6 Emmy Nominations and are continuously honoured the people of Wrexham allow us to tell their story.

“Diolch! Cymru am byth!”

Welcome to Wrexham will be back for a second series.
