FURTHER DETAILS have been revealed ahead of this weekend's Mold Carnival.

In what is the largest one-day free event in Flintshire, the carnival will once again be taking over the town’s Kendrick's Fields and The Rec on Sunday, July 16 from 11am through to 6pm.

There will be a full programme of free entertainment which will include Zeus, the 12ft giant t-rex, Britain's Got Talent's Richard and Adam Johnson, the 'Pedal Power vs Parkour' stunt display and much more.

On Kendricks Field main stage area, there will also be entertainment provided from over 400 community performers from Buckley Cheerleaders, Urban Fusion, Acro Squad, Dance Maniax and Black Veil Tribal, who will be dancing, singing and cheering to entertain guests.

The carnival will also see the grand final of Time2Shine talent competition the carnival’s popular talent competition, in addition to performances from local choirs Cor Y Pentan, Dee Signing Choir and the Rock Choir.

Ending the day, The Trigger Hounds band will be on stage to perform crowd favourites.

Jane Evans, Mold Town Council Events and Community Engagement Officer, said: “The committee have been working really hard this year to ensure the day is full of fantastic entertainment and things for people to do.

"It’s free entry with lots of free entertainment to enjoy and we really do pride ourselves on trying to offer something for everyone, all ages and all abilities. So we are looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday 16th July on Kendricks Field and the Rec.

As part of the Carnival, a parade, led by The Cambria Band will take place starting from Griffiths Square Car Par at 10.30am and proceed down the Upper High Street onto Earl Road then onto Maes Bodlonfa Fields.

Road closures will be in place along the route for approximately 45 minutes.
