REPORTS of an escaped 11-foot python in Wrexham have sparked a police appeal.
The huge snake has reportedly escaped from a property in Hightown - with its owner taking to social media to appeal for help in locating it.
In Monday afternoon's update, Inspector Luke Hughes, of the Wrexham City Policing Team, said: "You may be aware of a report that an 11-foot python has escaped from a property in Hightown.
"At this time I can't verify this, but I’ve seen the original post that appears to indicate we were aware.
"I can't find any such report so can I urge them to contact us on 101 or via chat and pass details for my attention please, I’ll then arrange a follow up call - just in case."
