POLICE are urging motorists to avoid a main road in Flintshire due to flooding.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast for parts of Flintshire and Wrexham have had an affect on roads in the area.
North Wales Police are encouraging drivers to stay away from the coastal road in Flintshire between Greenfield and Connah's Quay.
They say there is already reports of flooding across the county, in Greenfield, Oakenholt and Connah's Quay.

A spokesperson said: "Please be aware of localised flooding from Connah's Quay to Greenfield along the Coast Road.
"Mostyn Road (coast road) is currently flooded - between The Packet House Pub (at the bottom of the Greenfield hill, by the traffic lights) and the bridge by the speed camera.
"Also flooded is the area by the Papermill in Oakenholt.
"There is currently a lot of standing water on the carriageway by the Esso Garage in Connah's Quay.
"Please avoid the coast road if possible."
