A CRASH has sparked heavy traffic on the A55 in Flintshire.
North Wales Police confirmed there has been an RTC in the westbound carriageway near Broughton.
They have advised motorists to find an alternative route, as the road has been closed.
Traffic reports show very heavy traffic in the area, both on the A55 and on the A550 towards Hawarden.
A police spokesperson said: "There has been a Road Traffic Collision Westbound A55 Near to the Broughton turn-off.
"Can motorists find an alternative route until further notice please."
Emergency Services are at the scene.
A Welsh Ambulance Spokesperson confirmed they were called to the scene of the RTC just before 7pm this evening.
They responded by sending four emergency ambulances, an operational manager and 2 high-acuity response vehicles.
