POLICE have urged for 'no more campfires' to be lit at a site in Wrexham after one was left 'unattended' recently.
North Wales Police PCSO Dean Sawyer said he was 'concerned' to discover the fire by the river next to the church and bridge in Bangor-on-Dee.
He said he came across a 'couple of campfires' in that area while on patrol last week.
And with one having been left unattended, PCSO Sawyer put the flames out and has urged that no more campfires should take place there.

He added that 'words of advice' had been given to the people responsible.
PCSO Sawyer said: "This week on patrol, I came across a couple of camp fires by the river next to the Church and Bridge in Bangor on Dee.
"I did put both of these fires out but was concerned that one was left unattended.
"I have found out persons responsible and words of advice have been given. However please can I ask no more campfires are made at this location again."
