THE MOLD and Buckley Round Table have outlined plans for the second half of 2023.
The group's work in and around Flintshire does not go unnoticed, and group secretary, Colin Devitt said the group likes to keep things simple and fuss-free whilst making a difference in their communities as he outlined some of the exciting things coming up for the remainder of the year.
Colin said: "We've already had our annual bowling competition, ran our bar at Buckley Funday and visited the Cefn Mawr Quarry, along with numerous meals and drinks.
"We've raised over £2,000 so far this year, and have already made donations to a local craft group and Southdown School.
"Over the summer holidays, we've got pizza making with the Pizza Guys Buckley, our family camping weekend and a gin tasting night with Cariad Gin.

"There's a trip to Deeside Round Table Beer Festival in mid August and we'll also be helping set up Mold Carnival, before cracking out our Hog Roast and serving delicious pork baps to the people going there.
"Then, as September rolls round we'll be at Mold Food Festival, where a few of us are on the organising committee. October will see us host a charity quiz for Prostate Cancer UK.
"Once again at Christmas we'll be bringing Santa and his sleigh to the streets of Mold and hopefully the surrounding villages, and also once again providing Christmas Day dinners for those who need it most.
"We're not a business club, or secret society. We're just ordinary blokes who occasionally do extra ordinary things."
