A BUSY English/Welsh road has reopened following a serious crash yesterday morning. (Thursday, June 29)
The A5/A483 between the Gledrid and Halton roundabouts near Chirk was closed just after 8am following a collision between a van and a car.
Two men were airlifted to hospital - one with life-threatening injuries - while another was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The road reopened at 9.30pm last night.
Meanwhile, West Mercia Police has issued an appeal for information regarding the incident.
A spokesperson said: "Investigating officers would like to appeal for any witnesses to the collision to come forward or anyone who was passing through the area around the time of the collision who may have dash-cam footage.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Tom Symonds on 101 extension 770 2273 or by email tom.symonds@westmercia.pnn.police.uk."
