THE Guildhall will be lit up red next week to celebrate the 80th year of The Trefoil Guild.

The Trefoil Guild is for people aged 18 and over, and is part of the Girlguiding movement.

During 2023, members across the country will be taking part in activities and challenges to mark this significant 80th anniversary.

The Wrexham branch has secured the support of the council and to celebrate the milestone, The Guildhall is to be lit up in red on Monday, July 3 between 9pm and midnight.

During the day, Wrexham Guild will link up via Zoom with other Guilds within Clwyd County to raise a glass - "Cheers to 80 Years".

Following this, the Mayor has agreed to have a photo taken with Guild members on the balcony of The Guildhall.

“The Trefoil Guild helps keep the spirit of Girlguiding alive in our communities, and has grown from humble beginnings into a much-loved and valued organisation that does a huge amount of good work. Long may it continue!”
