A man is to be sentenced after admitting an attack which left his victim needing facial reconstruction surgery.
Brandon Robinson, of Mill Lane in Buckley, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.
The 24-year-old admitted that on July 2 last year, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded a man named Leon Archer.

Prosecutor Grace Carson told the court that the incident happened outside the Black Lion Pub in Buckley, with Robinson attacking the victim from behind.
The incident involved two punches and a "shod foot," the court heard - with Ms Carson explaining the victim "ended up needing facial reconstruction surgery" afterwards.

Mike Pugh, defending, asked the court to consider ordering a pre-sentence report for his client, who had "kept in touch with the officer in the case."
Deputy District Judge Lee Davies told the defendant his powers of sentence were insufficient, and sent the matter up to Mold Crown Court for sentencing on July 20.
He also ordered a pre-sentence report and granted the defendant unconditional bail until his Crown Court appearance.
