ONLY Fools and Horses legend Sir David Jason was spotted at a steam fair near Chester.
Sir David, aka Del Boy, was seen at the Kelsall Steam Rally at the weekend.
Del Boy is often regarded as one of the greatest comedy characters in the history of British television, and is regarded as an iconic character in British culture.
In a 2001 poll conducted by Channel 4 Del Boy was ranked fourth on their list of the 100 Greatest TV Characters.
He is known to be a steam enthusiast, and swapped Del Boy’s three-wheeled van for a working model of a steam train which he built for his garden.
Sir David has teamed up with Jay Blades MBE to hit the road for their new Touring Toolshed series.
In the programme, Sir David and Jay park up their toolshed at the UK’s air shows, steam rallies, county fairs and vintage festivals, to meet some of the UK’s most talented crafters, makers and tinkerers – as well as people who could use a little help.
And at the weekend, he dropped in at Kelsall Steam Rally.
The Kelsall Steam and Vintage Rally is organised by a team of local enthusiasts. The event was only ever supposed to be a one off event back in 2001, but is now one of the largest steam and vintage rallies in the country.
