Lego Make and Take
Do you love being creative with Lego? Steve Guinness, the Brick Consultant and Channel 4's Legomaster Champion will be holding special sessions at four of our libraries for children aged 4+ during July. The sessions will allow children to have fun building with Lego plus they get a small kit to take home. There are one-hour sessions available at 9.30am, 11am, 1pm and 2.30pm. Steve will be visiting Ruabon Library on July 24 (01978 822002), Wrexham Library on July 26 (01978 292090), Llay Library on July 27 (01978 8551000) and Cefn Mawr Library on July 28 (01978 820938). These sessions are free of charge but you must reserve your place as spaces are limited. We'd love to see you there!
To borrow or buy, that is the question
Did you know in 2022 the bestselling celebrity stories where different to those borrowed from libraries? A pattern is emerging that nine out of 10 spots in the sales chart is occupied by celebrities, compared to four in the library loans charts. The top titles in libraries seem to favour more personal and emotional accounts of ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances. The top sales for books for 2022 were written by Jeremy Clarkson, Bob Mortimer and Miriam Margolyes. The most borrowed autobiographies for the same year were written by Raynor Winn, Michelle Obama and Adam Kay. Whatever your preference you can borrow all of these books and many more from Wrexham Libraries.
IT for beginners at Rhos Library
If you find it hard to understand and use your computers, smartphones or tablets, then why not pop into Rhos Library on Tuesday, July 4, from 10-noon, and have a chat with staff from Groundwork training. Groundwork will be delivering classes in the library covering all three of these areas of IT over the summer months but they are holding a drop in session on July 4 for you to meet the team and find out more about the courses. The courses will be free of charge and are available to people aged 19+.

Adolygiad Llyfr
Am Ddiwrnod gan Margaret Johnson a Meinir Wyn Edwards
Mae hon yn stori ysgafn sy'n siwr o apelio at bawb. Mae ynddi droeon trwstan, rhamant, a thipyn o hiwmor. Mae'r prif gymeriad yn un agos atoch, ac yn ferch y gellir uniaethu â hi ar bob lefel.
Mae'r llyfr yn addas ar gyfer dysgwyr ar lefel Mynediad sydd wedi bod wrthi'n dysgu Cymraeg ers ychydig fisoedd. Beth sy'n hollol wych am y nofel hon yw'r ffaith nad yw'r awdur yn cymryd yn ganiataol o gwbwl y bydd y darllenydd yn deall unrhyw eirfa newydd, felly ceir ystod o eirfa ddefnyddiol ar waelod pob tudalen. Mae'r brawddegau'n ddigon syml i ddechreuwyr yn eu misoedd cyntaf o ddysgu. Does dim defnydd o stwythurau cymhleth na defnyddio ffurf gryno'r ferf yn y gorffennol.
