A FLINTSHIRE primary school has taken part in a community kindness day.
Children at Ysgol Merllyn in Bagillt took part in what was their second kindess day which saw the pupils conduct community litter picks, planting, delivering 'hugs in a mug' and also tidying up the village's communal areas.
Each community kindness day is supported by key members of the Bagillt community such as local biker group, The Forgotten Riders, school parents and helped orchestrated by Cllr Bryn Gittins and Cllr Rob Davies as members of the Bagillt Community Volunteers.

A spokesperson for Ysgol Merllyn said: "Following the morning of carrying out their acts of kindness, the children celebrated the day by holding their Friday Family Service in the community church - St Mary's and St Peter's, with a kindness quiz, and a kindness talk from a member of the church organisation.
"Ysgol Merllyn hope to build upon their second kindness day next school year by approaching other schools in the area to extend community kindness day across Flint."
Cllr Bryn Gittins of the Bagilt Community Volunteers was also full of praise for the children's efforts to give back in their local area: "It's been a pleasure attending Ysgol Merllyn's community kindness day.
"It's lovely to see the children enjoying themselves and taking pride in the area they live in."
