IMAGES show how badly a car was damaged after it hit a tree in Wrexham.
Johnstown Fire Station posted the photos on its Facebook page from the incident that occurred early on Wednesday in Bronwylfa, near Rhos.
A spokesperson said: "6.14am this morning two appliances attended a RTC (road traffic collision) persons trapped near Bronwylfa.
"The car which had come in contact with a tree was heavily damaged.
"Crews worked to stabilise the vehicle and make electrically safe prior to arrival of the ambulance.
"The casualty was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital."
The previous night, Johnstown Fire Station posted saying crews had been practicing extracting people from cars involved in road traffic collisions.
The spokesperson added: "On the back of last nights drill this incident shows the importance of why we keep our core skills up to date and to ensure we provide the best service possible."
