THE Leader recently featured a gallery of photos from carnivals across the region.
It sparked a few memories from readers, including two fantastic photos in today's gallery from Rhiannon Bryan.
Sharing two images from carnival day in Mold in 1998, she said: "What a wonderful day. Everybody turned out.
"The atmosphere was good, there were jazz bands, brass bands, dance troupes from far and wide.
"Fancy dress, visiting carnival queens and many floats. The street was decorated with many flags.
"Us group of ladies are from Bryn Gwalia estate, we were collecting for charity with our baskets.
"Elene Denya, Phyllis, Rhiannon, Gwen, June, Olwen and Margaret. I won the Glamorous Grandmother competition."
