PRIMARY school pupils have raised more than £5,000 for Hope House in memory of two-year-old Leo Roberts.
The wonderful youngsters from Ysgol Bryn Collen in Llangollen completed several sponsored walks in memory of Leo, whose sisters attend the school, as they wanted to do something to support the family's fundraising.
The family spent some time in Hope House after Leo's death and his dad Garry, along with others, will be completing the Three Peaks challenge in 24 hours this June to raise funds in honour of Leo.
The whole school took part in a sponsored walk on May, 25. Years 5/6 completed a 4-mile walk up and around Castell Dinas Bran, years 3/4 walked loops of Plas Newydd, and years 1/2 walked around Penycoed Woods - all in aid of Hope House.

Reception and nursery classes also got involved and walked a shorter distance around Pengwern and the school field.
Lisa Howden, headteacher, said: "We are so proud of the amazing children at Ysgol Bryn Collen who have raised an outstanding £5,100 for Hope House! Thank you to everyone who sponsored them.
"We did it in memory of Leo Roberts who was almost 3 years old who sadly died suddenly in February."
