WREXHAM'S Repair Cafe is set to celebrate its first birthday later this week.
Repair Cafe Wrecsam will be celebrating its first birthday on Saturday (June 24) at the Yellow and Blue community cafe and hub at Eagles Meadow between 1-3pm.
The Repair Cafe hosts events where volunteers come together, usually once a month for a couple of hours, to share their repairing skills with the community, by trying to fix broken items that members of the public bring along to them.
Items that are normally fixed include electrical items, bicycles, toys, clothes, bags and more, and customers are encouraged to sit with the repairer to see how the item is fixed.

Repair Cafe Wrecsam is one of a hundred Repair Cafes that have been set up all over Wales since 2017 and the concept is growing rapidly.
The repair cafe in Wrexham is aiming to reduce the amount of items that are sent to landfill and so reduce our carbon emissions, share our skills with each other and build a sense of community.
