Nurses at Nightingale House Hospice will be raising money for patient care by completing The Midnight Walk.
Lucy Edwards and Erica Wilson, dedicated nurses from the Wellbeing Centre Team at Nightingale House Hospice, are gearing up to take to the streets of Wrexham and join The Midnight Walk.
This yearly event aims to generate funds in support of patients and to honour the memory of those who have passed away.
Anticipating a significant turnout, the event is set to attract numerous hospice supporters. Many will be walking in loving memory of those they have lost, cherishing the opportunity to pay tribute to their departed loved ones.
Others will join in recognition of the services offered by the Wrexham Hospice, having been directly touched by their invaluable care and support.
Erica said: “We just want to give back… I love working here. Caring for patients in the Wellbeing Programme we see how much the hospice benefits them, and we just want to do our bit to help.
“The Midnight Walk is an exciting thing to be a part of and a huge event that Nightingale House is renowned for in Wrexham. It is just a fantastic cause.”

Passionate about raising their sponsorship for the event, the two nurses have kicked off a fun competition to see who can raise the most funds between them, Lucy has raised £235, and Erica has raised £344 so far in sponsorship.
Lucy said: “Until I started working here last year, I didn’t realise just how much the hospice does for patients.
“Raising money to help the hospice continue providing services like music therapy, arts and crafts, physiotherapy, and complementary services is really important to us. We see the benefits it makes to patients every day.”
“It is a coincidence that I'm a huge Stereophonics fan and anyone who raises over £200 is entered into a draw to win a framed Wrexham AFC Shirt signed by Kelly Jones. So, I’ve got my fingers crossed!”
The Midnight Walk will take place on Saturday, June 24 and on the night, registration opens at 9pm at Llwyn Isaf, Wrexham with food and music and the walk will commence at midnight.
