Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day (June 24) is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets. Wrexham Library is showing by providing books for loan about the current and historical role of the armed forces so you can discover more about these important occupations. Representing the Royal Navy is Jo Stanley's Women and the Royal Navy that explains how the modern Royal Navy successfully integrated women into seagoing service. British Special Forces by William Seymour represents the Army and is a comprehensive history of all the British Special Forces from their beginnings during the Second World War to the 1980s. And for the Royal Air Force is The Birth of the RAF 1918 by Richard Overy. So if you want to find out more about the armed forces, current or historic, come along to Wrexham Library during June.
