A CHOIR hailing from America is set to perform in Mold this weekend.
The Birmingham Alabama choir will be singing in Bethesda Chapel on Saturday (June 17) in what will be a free 40-minute performance.
The choir, who recently landed in Manchester ahead of a concert in Caernarfon the following Wednesday were invited to the town after initially intending to perform on the streets of Chester, but this was unfortunately not possible due to the races.
Rev Huw Powell-Davies, of Presbyterian Church of Wales, said: "We had initially hoped they would be able to sing in the open air in Mold, but timings with the market in Mold made that difficult, and we thought that we have a wonderful concert venue in Bethesda Chapel, and offered for them to come and sing there.

"It will be a short concert, but we are very blessed that this young dynamic choir of 125 voices will fill our chapel with song on Saturday afternoon.
"We look forward to welcoming young and old to join with us to hear this inspirational choir on Saturday at this free event at Bethesda Chapel, Mold."
Entry is free, although donations to Flintshire foodbank will be appreciated.
