A HOUSE in Wrexham was badly damaged due to a fire caused by the sun reflecting on a mirror.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS) confirmed a call was received just after 5.30pm on Thursday reporting the incident at a property on Mold Road.
A NWFRS spokesperson said two fire engines and an aerial ladder were called to the incident. The fire was out by 7.10pm, but crews remained there until shortly before 11pm.

They added that the blaze caused 75 per cent damage to the bedroom where the fire started, as well as 100 per cent smoke damage to the first floor, and 75 per cent damage to it.
The spokesperson said that the fire was started by the sun reflecting on a wardrobe mirror. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the incident.
Due to the incident, Mold Road was closed between the junction of Maesgwyn Road and the junction of Berse Road roundabout heading out of Wrexham.
