Police patrols near Wrexham city centre schools are to continue following ongoing concerns about road safety.
As part of his daily policing update, Inspector Rob Stevenson confirmed that at around 10.04am on Wednesday, his team received "complaints of traffic disruption in the area of Victoria School."
He explained: "Our neighbourhood team have been patrolling throughout the week and will continue to do so at various schools throughout the city to ensure that children get to school safely.

"Please may I appeal to those dropping off near to schools; if you can walk or use public transport, please do so.
"It’s better for you and the environment.
"If you do have to drive, leave a little earlier and park safely a little further afield and walk the final part of the journey.
"Ultimately this will ensure that no children or other members of the public get hurt in a collision."
