TRIBUTES have paid to an "incredible" Flintshire woman who tragically died in a road traffic collision in Flintshire.
Angela Williams, aged 62, died in the incident on Church Street in Flint on Monday (June 5). She was 62-years-old and lived in the Flint area.
Her family have issued the following tribute: "Angela lived in the Flintshire area for most of her life and spent the last few years living in Flint.
"She was kind and empathetic to people from all walks of life. She was a great mum and grandmother to her two sons and her grandson.
"We all loved her very much. We will miss her enormously and have learned so much from her. She will stay in our hearts forever.
"She was an incredible person who overcame many obstacles in her life, whilst being a support to others. She was such a positive presence in our family."
They added: "Angela was popular in her local community and spoke highly of her friends. We would like to thank them all for making her feel welcome in Flint.
"The world just won’t be as fun without her. We are heartbroken and would like to be given privacy and time to grieve."
North Wales Police were contacted shortly before 12.30pm on Monday reporting an incident involving a pedestrian and a HGV on Church Street, Flint.
The emergency services attended, however, sadly, Angela was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 37-year-old driver of the HGV was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has since been released under investigation.
Sergeant Emlyn Hughes of the Roads Policing Unit is continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact officers.
He said: “Our heartfelt sympathies remain with Angela’s family at this incredibly difficult time, who are being supported by specialist officers.
“We are urging anybody who witnessed the incident, or those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time, to contact us as soon as possible.
“We would also like to thank the members of the public who helped secure the scene at the time and would ask those who stopped to help to also get in touch if you have not already spoken to officers.”
