THERE will be changes to park operations at Bailey Hill in Mold this weekend.

The popular nature attraction will be hosting its annual medieval festival and has advised visitors of important information they should be aware of.

A post on their social media pages reads: "We would like to advise you that the Bailey Hill Project supported by community volunteers will be hosting the Bailey Hill's Medieval Day, at Bailey Hill Park on Sunday 11th June from 10am-4pm.

Volunteers will be preparing for the event from 8am on Sunday morning and then tidying up immediately after the event finishes and we aim to be off-site by 6pm.

"We have an experienced re-enactment group Cwmwd Ial attending for the event which will include a medieval encampment to be set up on the Outer Bailey.

"To ensure that the encampment is set up and ready in time for the event, Cwmwd Ial will be erecting the encampment on Saturday 10th June and camping on site overnight to safeguard their equipment.

"To provide extra security for our guests the Bailey Hill Park will be locked overnight on Saturday 10th June. The entrance gates will be locked Saturday evening at 9pm and re-opened again at 7.30am Sunday.

"The event is a paid event - therefore on Sunday 11th June, Bailey Hill Park will not be open to the public between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm. All profit made from this event will be used to provide another community event next year.

"Thank you for your understanding and appreciation that community events of this type in Mold are an important part of maintaining vibrancy and vitality of the town."
