A CANCER support group based in Wrexham is holding an auction to raise funds for specialist equipment at the Maelor Hospital.
The Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group has been fundraising for the past two years in an attempt to secure Cryotherapy technology at the Maelor.
As they edge closer to their £40,000 target, they have launched an online auction to raise money.
Prizes include a signed Wales shirt, a signed Wrexham shirt, golf vouchers, restaurant vouchers, and a flight over Wrexham.
Auction bids must be sent to wxmpcsg@gmail.com, with your name, number, and your bid amount.
The prizes will be announced on June 26.
Secretary of the Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group, Phil Jones said: ”We are more determined than ever to raise funds to help purchase equipment for use at the Maelor Hospital.
"We want to be able to treat prostate cancer patients locally rather than have to send them far and wide for treatment.
"We are close to our £40,000 target to procure Cryotherapy technology and are about to launch our next challenge and that is to raise a further £60,000 to introduce equipment to treat patients via HIFU.
"There are 10 awesome items up for grabs as can be seen on the attached poster which includes signed Wales and Wrexham Football shirts, and a trip for ten around Wrexham Lager Brewery."
The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Trevor Arms in Marford, with new members welcome.
The next meeting is on Wednesday 7 June at 7pm, for further details call 07525824679.
