THE LEAD singer of a much-loved Wrexham band says he 'still can't get over' performing at the Racecourse ground.
Declan Swans were a big part of the two huge Bank Holiday gigs at Wrexham AFC's historic ground just last weekend.
They joined American rock legends and headliners Kings of Leon and former Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones' new band Far From Saints for an unforgettable double-header.
That is by far the biggest gig that the Swans have so far played - but their rise to the top over the last year has been seriously impressive.
Their 'Always Sunny In Wrexham' hit is now a must before any Wrexham match at the Racecourse.
And, having appeared in the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary on Disney Plus last year, the band is now a household name throughout the world.
That sort of love was certainly on show in their hometown last weekend as the crowd sang along to some of their biggest tunes.
And that sort of reception has left lead singer Michael Hett - who bravely opened up about his battle with cancer on the documentary last year - feeling 'lost for words'.

Michael, known as 'Scoot', has been a lifelong Wrexham fan and so playing at their home ground evidently meant a lot to him.
Speaking to the Leader, Michael said: "We've obviously never done anything like that before, where you get your own cabin to get ready in.
"Having grown up watching Wrexham on the Kop, never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd go on to perform in front of 20,000 people there. I just still can't put it all into words to be honest with you.
"I think the biggest thing that has stuck with us though is the roar of the crowd when we walked out onto that stage.
"I wasn't nervous, but it was just like 'wow'. I still can't get over it. The crowd were so supportive that we didn't get the chance to feel nervous!"
He added: "We spent the afternoons sitting with Kelly Jones (Far From Saints) talking about everything from music to football. It all just seemed really normal, but it was amazing."

Declan Swans have been performing together for over 20 years in the Wrexham area.
The band is made up of singer Michael, drummer Ben Jones and guitarist Mark Jones.
And, despite the spotlight being firmly on them at this moment in time, the band is showing clear signs that they are still keeping their feet firmly on the ground.
Michael said: "After the gig on Saturday, we knew it would be tough to find any taxis around in Wrexham that time of night, so we caught the last bus home!"
The Swans singer now hopes that a trip overseas might be in store for the band in the coming months.

He said: "There's been a bit of talk about possibly doing a gig in America, so it would be really nice to play there.
"We've also been asked by a brewery down in London if we can perform there too. But we're waiting to see if we can fit a nearby Wrexham fixture around that next season and get the fans there with us singing.
"At the moment, we've got a few commemorative shirts left over from last weekend's gigs left over and we're busy signing those for people."
