Estyn have given the school three recommendations, and an action plan is underway to address them:

• To strengthen provision for the development of pupils' Welsh language skills.

• Improve provision to support pupils' application of numeracy skills across the curriculum.

• Ensure pupils in all classes have opportunities to decide for themselves how they respond to learning tasks and to make decisions about how they organise their work.

Estyn also asked Ysgol Cae'r Nant to write a case study on its work in relation to health and wellbeing provision that has a highly positive effect, especially on the most vulnerable pupils, which has been submitted.
