STAFF at the Wrexham branch of financial advisors, have made a donation to the county's foodbank.
NFU Mutual Agents and their staff at the Wrexham agency recently nominated Wrexham Foodbank to receive a donation of more than £6,400 from NFU Mutual's national £1.92million Agency Giving Fund.
The rural insurer has launched this fund, now in its fourth year, to help local frontline charities across the country. The Agency Giving Fund forms part of NFU Mutual's £3.25m funding pledge for both local and national charities in 2023, to assist with recovery from the pandemic and to help tackle the impact of the rising cost of living.

To ensure these donations reach all corners of the UK and are directed where they're needed most, all NFU Mutual Agencies, with more than 295 offices nationwide, have been given the opportunity to nominate local charities to receive a share of the fund.
The donation to Wrexham Foodbank will be used in a variety of ways - some will go to buy food stock for their warehouse as they don't always receive donations of all the food items needed for food parcels. They will also be able to keep the foodbank van, which is used every day, on the road and cover the rent and utilities costs for the warehouse.

Mark Roberts, senior agent at NFU Mutual Wrexham Agency, said: "We regularly donate food and goods to Wrexham Foodbank from the team at NFU Mutual Wrexham. With the current increased pressure on people due to the cost of living crisis, we felt that Wrexham Foodbank could really benefit from our share of the Agency Giving Fund and that the funds would make a difference to our local community.
"NFU Mutual's Agency Giving Fund was first created in 2020 in response to the pandemic, and this ongoing support continues to support individuals locally who might otherwise struggle."
Campbell Edmondson, treasurer at Wrexham Foodbank added: "We're so grateful to the Wrexham Agency of NFU Mutual for nominating our charity to receive a donation from the NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund. The money will go a long way to helping us to continue to provide essential services to those in need locally."
