IT was 1980, a time of big hair and questionable fashion. John Lennon was shot dead in New York, the SAS stormed the Iranian Embassy building and Vauxhall launched the Astra.
It was also a year for the Leader's Miss Lovely Legs contest.
Here we look at the first gallery of three from the Leader archives, featuring some of the contestants vying for the title in Wrexham.
